Prepare your package
Makeup Commission – Prepare the parcel
In order we makeup your dolls you must necessarily send them to us by mail.
Your shipping location will have a significant impact on the steps you have to take to send your package calmly:
You ship from Metropolitan France
Our workshop is located in France, you are in the easiest situation.
Packing:
We advise you to pack your dolls in their bag if there is one, and in bubble wrap as well.
Be aware that packages are treated with very little care (thrown, crushed) during transport.
Do not hesitate to use bubble wrap, «peanuts» and newsprint/ foam to properly wedge your doll in the box, to cushion the shocks and prevent it from moving inside.
Be sure to use a solid cardboard box that is in good condition (not crushed, torn, punctured…) and close it with tape by plugging in the opening areas.
Postage:
For postage you are free to choose the service you want, the imperative is to stick the label on the box and that the destination address is clearly legible and exact.
When we make prior contact, we will have provided you with our complete contact details to be entered on the label.
We advise you to always opt for a package with tracking number and depending on the value of the product to opt for insurance that will compensate you in case of loss or damage of transport services.
We are not responsible for the damage caused by the transport.

Customs declaration:
Please note that each item declared and attached to the package will affect the “Customs Charges” (see below).
For countries outside Europe a customs declaration is MANDATORY (CN22 or CN23).
You must mention on this declaration:
- The sender (you, your name, address, country, complete contact information)
- The recipient (us, name, address, country, full contact details)
- Net weight of the package
- Nature of the package (gift, document, commercial sample, etc.)
- Detailed description of the content and number of objects sent
- Content value
- Tariff heading corresponding to the customs nomenclature of the goods
To help you complete this document, here is some information:
Content Designation + Tariff Item:
This information is related because the tariff item varies depending on the product description. (Tariff Number)
- HS Code 95030021, Dolls representing only human beings, whether or not dressed
Code to use when you send an entire human doll. - HS Code 95030049, Toys Representing animals or non-human creatures
Code to use when sending an animal or creature doll - HS Code 95030029, Parts and accessories of dolls representing only human beings
Code to use when sending only parts of human dolls (heads, hands, parts, etc.)
In the description of the product it is useless to specify the name of the model, the company or the resin color, this does not make sense to the customs officers.
You just need to specify whether it is a doll, human or creature, or only parts of dolls, and of course their quantity.
Content value:
You are legally required to declare the actual value of the product you send. For this you will be asked to accompany your shipment with an invoice.
Attachments to the package:
You have two choice solutions to attach the value voucher invoice of your shipment:
- Provide a commercial invoice of your doll's purchase / proof of Paypal payment
- Provide a pro-forma invoice (honour invoice), valid only for non-commercial shipments
Since you send a product that remains your property, this shipment was not the subject of a financial exchange between us, it is a non-commercial shipment.
You can therefore produce a pro forma invoice in which you indicate on honour the nature of the product, the quantity and the value.
This will be useful for you for example when you only send parts of a doll, you do not send the whole doll and therefore the real value of a few pieces is not that of the complete object. It is up to you to inquire about the value of these spare parts in order to correctly declare them.
Customs:
Your package will cross several countries and their borders to reach us.
You are required to inquire about the laws in force in order not to ship a prohibited product.
The customs can check the packages and open them in case of doubt about their contents.
The information entered on the declaration must legally correspond to the contents of the package.
Custom charges:
Upon arrival in French customs of your package, from the 1st of July 2021, ALL packages will be taxed.
This means that in order to take possession of your package we will have to pay a fee for you/the customer:
VAT + CUSTOMS TAXES + CUSTOMS CHARGES CARRIER
- CUSTOMS TAXES: This tax is directly related to the tariff number and therefore to the product description.
It is 4.7% for whole human dolls, 0.0% for animal-creature dolls or for parts and accessories.
It is calculated on the declared value of the product + shipping costs
- VAT: The French VAT is 20%. It is calculated on the declared value of the product + shipping costs + customs taxes
- CUSTOMS FEES: Transport service fees to complete customs formalities. (La Poste 15€, Chronopost 21€, etc.)
The product shipped belongs to you and we do not own it. We will therefore systematically charge you the advanced customs fees and taxes for you in order to unlock a product belonging to you, entering to the French ground, and intended to be painted, customized or repaired by us. This fee will automatically be considered as an advance fee on behalf of the customer, which we will require to be reimbursed as a disbursement fee prior to the redirection of the goods.
You have understood, each element that makes it possible to declare your shipment has its importance. The Customs Tariff Code defines the nature of the product sent and the rate of tax on entry into Europe. The declared value of the product makes it possible to carry out the calculation which defines the fees due and the invoice makes it possible to justify the real value of the product.
